Main Cliff
About Main Cliff:
Left (east) from the parking lot at the picnic table of the lovely Diemtigal valley one can find the Main cliff of Buufal. It is very steep with a distinctive roof and very sharp, charecteristic limestone. Several one or multi-pitch routes exist from 5c to 8a and even more are in the process of being developped. They are all bolted, and grading is rather stiff. Combining different pitches you can get around 200 meters of climbing with awesome views on top. |
Approach: | The Diemental Valley runs SW from Oey in the Simmental, the road branches off at Zwischenfluh with a toll to pay before the gate. Follow this road up the valley following signs for Seebergsee. Stop at a parking and a picnic table just below the rocks on the right side of the valley when coming from Zwischenfluh. |
