06. Foros Kant (Ridge)
About 06. Foros Kant (Ridge):
Foros Kant is a huge area located west of Ai Petri Mountain that can satisfy even the most demanding climbers(5.12, 5.13+). What is called Foros Kant is actually the left side of the Mshatka-Kaya mountain. Uarch-Kaya (separate section here) is the other part of the Mshatka-Kaya.
The length of the ridge is about 20-25 km along the sea cost so there are plenty of routes to get rid of the crowd. The easiest climb is probably 5.4 but there are some routes that are still waiting to be climbed. All climbs are at least 4-5 pitches with some up to 10 or 12 pitches. Similar to Ai Petri, great view of the Black Sea is there for you, but be prepared for very technical climbing. This ridge suffers much less erosion than Ai Petri.
New routes are developped here all the time by such active climbers as Vendenmeer and others. You can find several bolted lines here, as well as older aid routes. See here for some topo information (Russian).
