About The Fortress(OS):

No climbing here due to birds from March 1 to August 1. A large undercut wall with several E2 climbs on the left, and HVS routes on the right following the cracks between the caves. Not affected by the tides and west facing, about 150 feet tall.
Nearest town or city: St. Govan's
Directions: OS158--GR955/935 From the St. Govan's car park, walk into the range and follow the track past the wire enclosure of Saddle Head, past the next blunt headland and on to The Castle, noted for its large through cave. The wall running north from The Castle is The Fortress, and it is about one mile from the car park.
