Description:
John Byrne's suggests that this route may be a great choice for ones first at The Point. Agreed, the anchors are easily accessible and a safety to get to the anchors is as effortless as tying your rappel line to a small palm tree. We did opt to back up the palm tree with a thread through in the rock as it was looking a little droopy and battered (likely due to the 2008 hurricane). The climbing is fun, though I did not find it sustained. After a steep crux, your work is done and it's all pleasure to the top! Stay on the main trail, pass the main cairn, and continue for about 20 meters. Walk toward a palm tree left of some other vegetation. There is an obvious dihedral just down and left of the palm tree, you will see the upper bolts just to the right of the dihedral.
