Description:

8 25m pitchs up bankhead buttress. Rap with a single 50 or 60 m rope. Good climbing at 5.6-5.9 level. Rock is loose in places, but generally of better quality than typial Palisar limestone. Check out the tabvar website for topo (www.tabvar.org)

2 out of 5 stars Valley View

Not a very impressive route really. But it is relatively clean and offers nice views as the name implies. A couple of interesting slab moves. We did the whole route in three pitches with a 70m rope. Did 5m of simul-climbing at the end. We used no trad gear up Valley View. Went up there to do Lip Burner and I backed off under the chossy roof. Too fricking chossy for 5.11+ trad for me. With Jason.

Cheese grater with lose rock. Some enjoyable climb. But it was windy as hell!
