About The Grand Sentinel:

Note: Parks Canada routinely closes the Larch Valley trail due the presence of a grumpy grizzly bear that frequents the area. Consequently they don’t allow anyone to hike the trail unless you travel in a party of six or more. Be sure to check with the Parks office in Lake Louise before heading out.
Nearest town or city: Lake Louise
Directions: Drive to Moraine Lake from the Lake Louise town sight. From there follow the signed Larch Valley trail to Sentinel Pass. Go over the pass and traverse the talus slope to reach the base of the Sentinel. Give your self a full day to do the climb.
