About Bataan:
| Bataan is a great place to climb nearly all year round. Due to the south and east facing aspects of the walls here, you can climb in the sun on any given day here, providing of course, that it's sunny. There are many a tale of climbers climbing here in January on sunny days where the mercury creeps above 0. It is common to see lots of gear up here that has been left behind by other climbers not wishing to hump the load everytime they visit. Please respect their property as you would your own. |

| Directions: | Only a few minutes outside of Canmore. The approach begins from a pulloff on the 1A several km's from the edge of town. An obvious trail leads up Grotto mountain to the left of the large scar that the good people at Lafarge have left on Grotto. An hour and a half and 800m elevation gain will get you to all of the climbing here. |
