About McGillivray Slabs:

Though the rock offers excellent friction, it is typical of most north-facing cliffs in Alberta and is inherently loose, prone to rock-fall, and even the smallest of ledges may be covered in vegetation. Caution should be taken to confirm the stability of holds and ledges even on established routes.
