Description:

A sharp arete rising out of Centre Creek. Grade IV, 5.7. Accessing the route from Centre Creek is involves scrambling and will take 2-3 hours. Head up gully towards Pillar of Pi then cut back right on a ledge to the basin between NE ridge and E ridge. The ridge itself is divided into three parts - the first third is the crux (climbing to 5.7) with lots of trees and tricky route finding. The middle third is beautiful third class. The upper third features clean, solid granite with innumerable cracks and route options. The full ascent from Centre Creek will be quite a long day if belaying and many parties end up inadvertently bivying somewhere near the summit.
