Description:

Description from the Cougar Creek Guidebook (http://www.cavecreeksystems.com/cougarcreek/) Natural, 2 pitches The first pitch starts in the cave and tackles the roof crack (5.11-) then the beautiful thin crack above, or as an alternative, squeeze through the hole at the back of the cave and layback inside the chimney (5.6). Both variations end on a good ledge. Either boldly climb the 5.8 wide corner crack (6-10 inches), clipping the bolt down low, or use the bolt to traverse to the left (5.10-) into the nice easy hand crack . For the second pitch, walk along the ledge and climb the shallow left-facing corner (5.9), undercling, then short wide crack to a ledge. Climb the flake above, then exit left to a tree.

Descent Options:

trail or rap from top of first pitch
