About Beaver Lake Road Bluffs:

Very few climbers know of the existence of this crag. Developed mainly in 1996 by a Winfield resident, these bluffs are host to a wide range of excellent climbs for the beginners and intermediates. The style of the climbing on this basalt crag is very different from the rest of the Kelowna area sites. The main attraction is indeed found in the style of climb here. Crack climbing! So for you trads out there... a wonderful time of hand, and finger jamming awaits you.
Nearest town or city: Kelowna
Directions: From Hwy. 97 drive north to Winfield. Take Beaver Lake Road turn-off east towards Beaver Lake Lodge. Follow this road over a set of train tracks and continue for approximately 12.8km. At this point, an access raod will appear on your left. This is the junction of the High Rim Trail. Take this access road and continue straight on it until it ends at a boulder field approximately 2km. Park your car or truck here and walk across the boulders. Wrinkly Face Cliff will be visible from where you park uphill.
Latitude, Longitude:
Access Issues: amendment: the Junction of the high rim trail is just past the yellow 10km marker at a bend in the road. You will pass by a couple clearings on your way in with some old burned out cars. Just before the rd. ends you will come to some tree forts used by paintballer, just past this is the talus slope that you will cross. Caution: if you miss the High Rim Trail Junction and drive a couple kms farther you will find a rd to the left that will have a sign posted "trail start", if you drive farther you will come to a sign with an arrow the says "wrinkle face cliffs" This sign is very inaccurate as non of these rds will take you even close to the climbing area, someone please take down this sign.
