About Mt. Benson:

Mt. Benson boasts two recently developed areas with 2 pitch climbs and incredible views. Upper Benson Bluffs has 20 routes from 5.6 to 5.11b on nice glaciated basalt. Lower Benson Bluffs is quite young with 8 routes from 5.8 to 5.12a. Conservative yet safe bolting practices were used in setting the routes so most climbs are mixed bolts and gear.
Nearest town or city: Nanaimo
Directions: Drive to the end of Benson View Road and hike the trail around the lake to the cliffs. 20-30 minutes to each cliff.
