Maxwell Bluffs
About Maxwell Bluffs:
The Bluffs are accessed from the uppermost parking lot of Mt. Maxwell Provincial Park. The climbing is mostly single pitch (for now) and is well away from the main lookout point due to the fact that this is where people tend to throw things over the edge. This is a very eco-sensitive area so no garbage is tolerated and a low-profile is recommended... Getting there: Take the trail that starts at the corner of the parking lot marked with an orange trail marker nailed to a stump. Follow marked trails keeping to the right until you have to step over a big log (2-3 feet diameter). From here unmarked trails to the right will take you down to the various walls. |
