About Ruth Lake - Eagle Creek Boulders:

This is a new area that has infinite potential for unbelievable Bouldering. There are two main areas however this entire region has much to be discovered. Plan for more then a day trip as many of the problems will require cleaning and a bit of brush removal. This is the largest selection of massive rocks I have ever come across. Bear Spray is nice as the area is populated with many dens due to the rocky landscape.
Nearest town or city: 100 Mile House
Directions: Take Highway 97 out of 100 Mile and turn right on Canim Lake Road. Stay on Canim Lake road untill you pass through forest gravoe and come to Ruth Lake. The First Rock you will come to is at the lat/long posted, and is shortly after the sharp S Corners. Camp at Ruth lake Camp site and enjoy many problems in area. For More boulders continue on past ruth lake for another 5 min and take a right on Eagle Creek Road (aka hendricks lake road) and drive for not even a Kilometer then take a right onto a FSR that runs up into some cut blocks ( The road is marked only on some trees across from it with loggers spray paint.). The road will fork shortly; the photo with the boulder over the road is to your left, with many more just in the trees off that lower road. There are many many more rocks farther up the right hand fork, some but not all climbable but amazing scenery ( Domino like slab picture).
