About Golden Wing Buttress:

Located directly (n) across the valley from the Phoenix, the GWB is a prominent fin of golden granite jutting from the mountainside. At about 800' in height the rt. requires 400' of 4th and moderate 5th class climbing to reach the headwall. The only established rt. follows a thin seam 6-10' from the prominent arete.
