About The Gateway Boulder:

The Gateway Boulder contains 7 established problems in the V0 to V3 range and is the standard "warm-up" boulder in Calabogie. It is also the last boulder that you'll come to on the path that winds through the boulder field from the cliff. There is a more direct route marked out by pink ribbons on the right of the main train when you start out from the parking area and winds along the side of the lake.
Approach: Follow the small trail marked by pink ribbons on the trees. Starts at main trail but heads to the right paralleling the road for a couple hundred meters then turns to the left and follows the cliff / the pond.
Approach Time: 15 - 20 minutes
