About Monte Sano State Park:

Located in Huntsville, Monte Sano's 2,140 acres has been in existence since 1935. Trails and rocks close 30 minutes before sunset. $1 fee per person. Climbers, rapellers, boulders need to sign waiver form at park office. Please, pad tree anchors.

| Directions: | From I-65, go east on Highway 72. Turn right on Epworth, left on Isabelle, left on Hanes, right on Giles, right on Oakpark, left on Bankhead Parkway. Once you are on Bankhead Parkway, follow the signs to the parking lot at the picnic area. From the parking lot, hike 100 yards south to the cliffs. For other areas see details below. |
