VERTICAL GAIN--10,500 feet (add over 2,000 feet more of elevation gain for ups and downs).
DIFFICULTIES & DANGERS--40 degree snow and ice sections along a crevassed and knife-edged ridge; upper route is exposed to all wind and storm conditions.
