Alders at the top for a top rope. Bring ice screws.
This is the obvious waterfall up on the south wall of the canyon about 500 feet farther into the canyon from Boones Farm. It starts about 75 feet above the river level and usually offers about 30 feet of dead vertical and chandeliered ice in normal conditions. There is usually 10 to 15 feet of easier ice leading up tothe vertical part, and sometimes another 25 feet of WI2 ice leads up into the trees. Rappell from the trees.
