Description:

This is a rather obscure route that is not actually in the PFM amphitheatre. From the McHugh Creek parking area, head south on the old Johnson Trail for about three-fourths of a mile and you will see the ice about 150 feet above the trail. Though a little short for such a hike, it does offer excellent views of Turnagain Arm and is away from the Highway (ahhh, peace and quiet). Rappell from the trees.
