Echo Bend
About Echo Bend:
The Echo Bend routes are a little over three miles up the river from the Eagle River Nature Center. This is one of the most popular ice climbing areas in the Valley, with easily accessible, non-avalanche prone routes, including the areas classic Hollow Icicle, and one of the most popular learning routes Spruce Pitch. The routes are located on the lower slopes of Eagle Peak on the south side of Eagle River, so make sure the river is frozen before you try to approach from the trail. Routes are listed from right to left as you face south. |
