About Angel Creek:

A cluster of granite outcrops on the Chena Hot Springs Road. Most of the rock is solid, but in places, there are a lot of loose crystals and the occasional loose flake or block. The north sides also tend to have a lot of lichen and moss on them. Major gardening required for those wanting to put up a new route. Most routes are top-roped, but there are a few natural trad routes.
Nearest town or city: Chena Hot Springs
Directions: Located at Mile 49 on the Chena Hot Springs Road. There is a sign by the bridge over the Chena River pointing to the trailhead. There is a loop trail that heads by the picnic spots, please stay on the trail to minimize erosion until you are close to the rocks.

Access Issues: This is a very friendly user location and climbers are readily welcome here. Spring time the rivers and creeks tend to flood during break-up and the lower trails along the river wash out. Summer and fall are your best bet. Close to trailhead with about a twenty minute uphill hike. If you like technical downhill mountain biking take your bike up with you. Also has a good trail system leading to Chena Hot Springs about 12 twelve mile hike or ride.
