Route Summary | Ascent Notes (1)
Just west of the the Harding Icefield warming hut is the lower stretches of Cartwheel Glacier. From the hut, go approximately 1/4 mile to the pass to the west. Late in the summer (late July onward), a vertical section of the lower glacier exposes itself, and is great for climbing. With a group, we did climbing and crevasse rescue practice there.
The climbing is anywhere from AI1 to AI4, with the climbers' right side being overhung.
Walk off the top, carefully.
