About Kenai Tidal Flats:

Bouldering on the western shores of the Kenai Peninsula. Boulders consist of large igneous rock and some volcanic extrusive rock.
Nearest town or city: Nikiski
Directions: From Kenai: Take Kenai Spur Highway north out of Kenai and through Nikiski. Follow the highway till the pavement ends at Captain Cook State Recreation Area. Turn left down a gravel road where you'll find a picnic area on the right and small parking area on the left. Park and walk down to the shores and head north.

Access Issues: Boulder accesiblity is determined by the tides. Some are still accessible even when tide is in. Bring a towel or two to wipe sand off of shoes and perhaps a brush for holds.
