Eagle Glacier Area
About Eagle Glacier Area:
At the head of Eagle River Valley, Eagle Glacier sits tucked in a narrow pass between Emrald Peak and Rook Peak, behind a moraine lake called Glacier Lake. The terminus of the glacier is about a half mile wide, which is narrow compared to the bulk of the glacier, which connects to the Whiteout Icefield and the massive Eklutna Glacier to the north, and over a dozen smaller glaciers to the south and east. |
