About Five Fingers Area:

MILE 3.1---The Five Fingers Formation is a great formation that can give as many as eight different routes when in full condition. An excellent beginners area with longer routes, a moderate angle, and lots of trees make it a very casual and controllable area to teach the basics and start leading. The other advantage is the almost complete lack of avalanche hazard here, the lower angled top and dense forest above stop most slides. It is still wise to check conditions before heading out, though.

Park on the small road at about MILE 3.1 and walk up the creek about 500 feet, and then head up the hill to the climbs. All routes are descended by rappelling. Routes are listed from left to right.
