About Middle Glacier Canyon:

From the Seward Highway, drive a little more than four miles down Portage Glacier Road and park in the Williwaw Viewing Area. Head north toward the canyon. There will be a creek to cross with alders after it, so you'll want to try to locate the trail through the alders before crossing the creek, or just head far left and walk up a streambed. You'll be able to see the trail from the climbs, for the hike out. Stay on the right (west) side of the canyon for the climbs. Routes are listed from right to left (bottom to top of canyon). There is a nice little boulder in the Williwaw Campground near the outhouses (Shithouse Rock).
