About Snowbird Slab:

This popular area is second only to The Monolith as far as climbing traffic is concerned. It is a 160 foot tall clean granite slab at the beginning of a ridge. To get there, follow the Reed Lakes trail 1.5 miles to its end at an old wood frame cabin. Locate a trail that crosses a creek on a good bridge. Follow the trail uphill towards Reed Creek and the Reed Lakes. 100 yards after crossing Reed Creek, on the right, is Snowbird Slab. Leave the trail at its closest point and follow the trail to the base. Routes ordered from left to right. Route descriptions that are in quotations come from Dave Whitelaw's First Steps guidebook and the old update to First Steps.
