About Weekender Wall:

For those wishing to get away from the crowds and traffic of the Seward Highway, Weekender Wall makes a pleasant escape. Located less than 100 miles north of Anchorage, it is popular for those all day trips when you don't have to work. There is also a semi-undeveloped cliff band to the right of the wall, with several multi-pitch possibilities. One of the easiest approaches and decent rock make this a popular place for those wishing to put up a new route or two. Give it a try!
Nearest town or city: Chickaloon
Directions: From Anchorage, drive about 84 miles north and east on the Glenn Highway. Five and a half miles past the Chickaloon River Bridge is a left turn into the Bonnie Lake State Recreation Area. Go 3/4 of a mile down the road to the first lake (Ravine Lake), then down the road for another few hundred yards and the whitish colored wall will be on your right. Park in the pullout across the road from the wall, and avoid the private property further down the road. Head up the road about 100 feet and take the faint trail to the left side of the wall. Routes are described from left to right.
