Directions: Where Hwy 188 crosses the bridge over the upper salt river, drive @ 2.5 miles further north to a gravel road leading east to Cherry Creek. Take that road 6-7 miles to chalk creek and hike a few miles to the end of the creek and rap into the pond. Alternately, drive to Gleason Flats and canoe, kayak or raft to the mouth of the creek.
