Description:

This is basically the route you rappel the tower from. 1: Climb up and left in moderate corners to gain a ledge below the big chimney between the rabbit ears. P2: Climb up a crack that keeps getting wider and harder (then easier) to the bolts below the chimney. P3: Climb up loose ground into the "bowling alley" (the chimney), then up wide crack on right wall. Eventually, you can put a foot behind you and chimney to the finish (big ledge on right). Scramble up and around to get to the famous jump across move. P4: Jump across the chasm (not that big of a deal), traverse out left and then up. Pass bolts, continue to mailbox. Descent: Rap back down the route. Two 60m ropes WILL NOT make it from the bolts to the next bolts on the first rap. Watch out for stuck ropes and loose rock!!!
