About Priest Draw:

Excellent bouldering in ponderosa pine and aspen tree forest. Highly pocketed limestone roofs, mostly.
Nearest town or city: Flagstaff
Directions: Approx. 4 miles South of Flagstaff. From Flag, take Lake Mary Road 5.1 miles after Mobil gas station. Take your first right after the second cattle guard onto Ron Lockett Ranch Rd. Drive approx 3 miles until you see the rough 4WD forest road (235) on your right past a few houses. The regular road takes a sharp left and goes uphill. *** ATTENTION!!! Park at beginning of road and hike in. The forest road (FR 235) leading in to the Draw is in danger of being closed due to the abuse of motorists (mudding). UPDATE: 2004. The road has been improved a ways to a parking area where it is blocked off. The first boulder is a large triangle (Traingle Boulder) on the right. Very simple Topo map available at drtopo.com. Please be bury human waste and pack out trash. If you decide to camp here, bring in your own firewood and keep a low profile. This area is very fragile now due to impacts by climbers and ATV'ers.
