Description:

Approach: West Side of the Physical Sciences E Wing (PSE), about halfway between the entrance and University Drive Climb 100' sustained 5.8 thin chimney. First 85' is brick, last 15' is loose stucco. Looks like there used to be three functional bolts, now there is one at 30' and the rest is a solo. The second bolt is loose (60'), and lacking a hanger. The third bolt hole has been filled in (90'). Plan to solo above 50' or consider rebolting on lead. There is a watermain on the roof just beyond the chimney for rapping. A 60m double rope rappel will just make it.

Climbed at 1:30 a.m. Some lanky dude with large cojones led it. I followed. My partner discoverd the lack of hangers/bolts midroute. We left two souveniers at the first bolt.
Recommended if you feel comfortable soloing 5.8 chimney.
