Description:

This climb is on the Crass Tower which is the 100' tall spire that dominates the south end of Smelser Canyon. It is the obvious aesthetic lieback crack/flake that runs the entire height on the N side. Fun bouldery overhanging lieback start to easy lieback to rest in recess. Gain slightly overhanging crack above to easier angle. Then one more great slightly bulging finger lieback to top. Clean rock & great pro all the way. (there are also two bolted sport climbs on the W face - 10a/left and 11aR/rt)

One of the finest moderate Supes crack climbs I've experienced. Just a blast from start to finish. Crux is gaining the slightly overhanging crack from the recess, but otherwise still quite sustained. Beautiful area with lots of climbing history.
