About Silverbell Boulders:

A decent bouldering area northwest of Tucson. Pretty small but fairly concentrated. The upper boulders offer one of the few clusters of fairly difficult problems in Tucson, including the area classic The Rails (V6). Rock is volcanic tuff similar to the rock at Gates Pass.
Nearest town or city: Tucson/Marana
Directions: Take Silverbell Rd. north past Cortaro Farms Rd. Silverbell will eventually split (the left fork is Twin Peaks Rd.); take a right to continue on Silverbell (this is just past a Safeway shopping center.) Follow Silverbell Rd. to a small "pass" between two hills and park on the left. Walk across the street to the boulders.
