About Lee Creek Bouldering Area:

Nice bouldering area on typical Ozark sandstone. Only about 8-10 routes up now ranging from VB-V4, but plenty of potential around. There are boulders close to road on left and by the creek on the right. There is also a fairly long bluffline up the hill on left. The bluffline is mostly trash, but some bouldering may be found. Large roofs, could make for very hard lines on the bluff. Access is very sensitive, so behave like kings and queens. Leave no trash/trace you were there. If you do all of the above, you may still get hasseled by the locals, so beware.

Directions: From Fort Smith: Take I-540 North to I-40 West. Take 40 West to Van Buren and get off at the Hwy 59 exit in Van Buren. Take 59 North for about 20 minutes, past Cedarville and almost to Natural Dam. Take Independence Rd. to the left. This will be the last road on the left before you get to the Lee Creek Bridge in Natural Dam. Follow Independence Rd. for a mile or two. The main boulder is on the left just before you get to the second pulloff on the right by the creek. Park at the second pulloff.

The main boulder will be on the left just short of the second pulloff by the creek. Park at the second pulloff.
