Description:

From the highest point on the snowfield, at the center of the North Face climb steep rock for three pitches until the angle eases off. Cross Mendenhall route here, 400' of 3rd and 4th class climbing lead to steeper rock left/ climb thru an overhang (5.9); next pitch up am arete that is parallel to the face (5.6); 3 pitches up steep corner that is right of the lowangle Mendenhall route corner (5.10a). Many quartz crystals in vugs on the last three pitches.Ends atop Upper Buttress.

Follow descent from top of upper buttress thru contact pass or rap the route
