Corridors, The - Sunday Matinee Wall
About Corridors, The - Sunday Matinee Wall:
| North across the wash from the Cattle Pocket are north-south running tall fins of rock which are overhung on their west sides. They are situated as to create corridors between the formations. Mostly good quality rock. Sunday Matinee is the 5th fin of rock from the east. Routes are west facing providing for winter sun and summer morning shade. Tim Standing came up with the idea to develop this wall in order to provide climbers warm winter climbing options. In keeping with the spirit of the movie-making history of this area he named the feature Sunday Matinee Wall. Accordingly, all the routes here (and most of Tim's routes elsewhere in the AH) are named from flicks filmed here in the Alabamas. |
