Volcanic Bishop Tuft, pockets galore! kinda rough on the tips, but superb climbing. Mostly a Top Rope area, but there is a lot of Bouldering to be done, and even a few bolts (if I remember correctly, its been a few years)
Just down the 395 from Deadmans is another small area on the opposite side of the highway (look for a small faint dirt road just downhill from Deadmans turn-off) that has some very good cracks. Its not really part of Deadman's per say, but worth a look if your in the area.
To Get to Deadman's from Mammoth/Bishop take 395 North past Owen's River Road and the Caltrans Station just Past Owen's River Road. 395 will split, take the first left turn just as North and South come together again. Once on the dirt make an immediate right. The first right, next to the road is Deadman's I, go down another 1/4 of mile to reach Deadman's II.
