About Dexter Canyon:

Wilderness canyon with mostly well formed 1 and 2 pitch trad crack climbs in volcanic rock. Rock quality varies from bad to excellent. A few high quality run-out bolted faces exist. A wild getaway that sees few visitors. Shady in the afternoon.
Nearest town or city: June Lake
Directions: Between June Lake turnoff and Lee Vining, turn east off route 395 onto highway 120 toward Benton. Drive 16 miles to Sagehen Summit (sign) and turn right on Sagehen Meadows Rd. (1N02). Drive 8.8 miles to an unmarked turnoff at a campsite. The climbs are in the canyon just south of the campsite but are not visible from there. Hike 100 yards west to a descent gully or 1/4 mile east to another descent gully.
