Description:

This route goes directly up the left side of the west face. It was initially and aid route put up by rangers in 1973. It was rebolted and free-climbed in 1989 by Jim Thornburg, et al. You must pass the 2nd anchors and top out The Monolith for a valid ascent.

3 out of 5 stars Huge throws

Onsighted the first pitch then had to work the second. Some thin moves to a huge throw then a huge rest. Then some thinner moves (I thought to be the crux) to the anchors. The first throw isn't the crux, it's the second little bump up higher. Pumpy second pitch though. Gotta go back and do it in one long pitch.
