Boulder in the Woods
About Boulder in the Woods:
|
Good intermediate boulder. Lots of 5.6 thru 5.8. Info taken from Tom Slater's "California Central Coast Climbing; San Luis Obispo." Take Highland west to trail. Hike trail till you get to the water tower. There's a trail that goes into the woods and leads to the boulder. This is kind of an illegal rock to be climbing on as you have to cut the trail and there's a lot of poison oak. Be forewarned. Nice place to work on finger crack technique. |
| Approach: | Take trail on the Highland side and once you come out of the first tree line take a LEFT then walk toward the green tanks, the trail you want runs right along the chain link fence around the tanks. |
| Approach Time: | about 10 minutes from Highland |

| Access Issues: | Watch out for the poison oak. this approach is loaded withit. If you are alergic I would wait until winter. |
