Description:
The 5.6 start is a leap from the boulder on the left and slab traverse to the crack. Starting at the bottom and going up a right-slanting crack involves a roughly 5.8 move. And yes, it's possible to protect that move and leave enough room for the handjam. Starting up the left-slanting branch of that same V is harder.Descent Options:

Wasn't impressed
Definitely wouldn't give it two stars like the new book does, it's certainly a creative route and one of the few in J-tree that I'm not interested in doing again.
