Description:

Climb begins 30' right of Fote Hog. Go up crack to large ledge. Belay there. Then climb up a hand crack in a right facing dihedral to small roof. Topout and walk-off to the right. OR -- after clearing the roof, instead of exiting right, step left to go up a left facing dihedral with handcrack (Fote Hog finish), and then scamper over the top to longer but easy slab walk-off to climber's left.

4 out of 5 stars A grudge (re)match

I first tried this route a year ago, and didn't do so well :(. My crack climbing skills have improved alot in the last year, so I decided it was time for a rematch. This time victory goes to Greg - got the redpoint. Though this time around I never felt falling was likely, I definitely think its one of the trickiest 5.9s I've done at JT. Definitely a route to do with your game-face on. In fact, later this day I did Ball Bearing, a 5.10a postively-sloped finger crack down the wall a bit, and that seemed easier - probably just more straight-forward.
