About Live Oak Picnic Area:
| Live Oak is closest to the 29 Palms entrance to the park. Turn south off the main road directly across from the entrance leading to Split Rocks. This is a relatively small area with mostly face climbs. It is also the home of one of Joshua Tree’s **5.6 routes—Stemski, located on the Whispering Wall. Routes also include Pope On A Rope, 5.12d***, The Pope Mobile, 5.10c***, and Mother Board Breakdown, 5.10c***. |
