About Cow Rock, Lower:

Lower of the Cow Formations, cross from Savvy Dome, along the trail that branches north from the RHV trail loop at its north end near the Brown Wall. When coming up to the formation, there's a cow shaped rock on top, as if turning its head to look down at you. Sacred Cow tops out near its rear end. East-facing, afternoon shade. Area is also known as The Land That Time Forgot.
Approach: Easier and faster to approach from RHV parking lot than from pullouts along Park Blvd.
