About Bear Island- Northwest:

Face gets shade in the morning and gets some sun in afternoon.
Approach: Park in parking area for Wonderland Trail. Take North Wonderland Trail north for about .85 miles. Just before trail joins the larger trail/road running north to south. Rock is about 150 yards west of trail, head left to the rock.
