Description:

This route, immediately right of Haystack, is a better alternative to the first pitch of that climb. Finish with P2 & 3 of Haystack. Although both are called 5.8, this is a little harder than Haystack.

In the top three of my favorite pitches I did at Lover's Leap. Never did the first pitch of Haystack, but I imagine Preparation H is the way to go. It climbed, and protected very well, and was varied. (From what I hear, pitch 1 on Haystack is too easy. . .make it trickier by climbing this one!)

preparation H is what you need...

that makes no sense. fun route. pretty much a variation of haystack if someone is already on it. a few mini roof moves that keeps things interesting, but hemorrhoid free.
