Description:

A variation to Purple Haze. Start on Purple Haze and climb up all the hard stuff to a good stance where you can do a hand traverse arcoss a dike into a crack 10 feet to the right. This crack yields good gear, hand jams and fingerlocks on a slightly overhanging face with the occasional good foot stance and crimp move.

Descent Options:

Rap from the sling anchor (equalized pin, fixed nut and jammed knot) barely with a 60m rope or continue to the bolted anchors of Travelers Buttress and finish on Travelers.

The overhanging crux may be 5.11, but it's locker. I still feel the crux of the route is in the first 20ft off the ground. If you can grovel up to the mantle and then pull through those first few flareing hand jams, you got this crack made. Traversing into the crack is a bit exciteing.
