About Texas Canyon:

Several independent rocks offering climbing up to two pitches in a quiet canyon setting, save for the occasional dirt bike or two. The rock is a sandstone conglomerate which tends to be chossy. However, there are good routes here and the climbing could improve with additional traffic. Almost all the routes are bolted and most of the longer routes tend to be fairly moderate. A Forest Adventure Pass is required - you WILL get a citation from the rangers who lurk in this area.

From the pullout on the west side of the road to Rowher Flat OHV area, walk up the road past the white gate. Continue up the road until the crag comes into sight and take the dirt track, on the right, that diagonals down toward the crag. Skirt the south (left) end of the large slab.
